Andy has a proven track record of helping clients resolve real estate disputes. His experience includes all aspects of real estate litigation. His clients include real estate developers, property owners, landlords, tenants, and investors, from both the plaintiff and defense side. His experience also includes prosecuting and defending claims involving private and public projects, zoning litigation, 40B housing and many other aspects of real estate litigation.

Andy shows construction companies how they can reduce their liability and the costs associated with construction litigation. Andy represents developers, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and insurance companies in disputes relating to construction site accidents, construction defects, and contract disputes.

Commercial Litigation

Andy has extensive experience in a wide variety of commercial litigation, including claims that arise internally in corporations, such as shareholder disputes and breach of fiduciary duty claims, and disputes that arise outside of the corporation, such as contract disputes with vendors or competitors. Andy also has extensive experience defending clients against product liability, premises liability, professional malpractice and auto accident claims. Appeals

The job is not done once a case ends in a trial court. The case often proceeds to the appellate level and Andy is widely respected for its appellate work for both its brief writing skills and oral advocacy. Andy has successfully argued cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court, Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, Andy appeared as co-counsel before the United States Supreme Court in successfully upholding a decision from the First Circuit.
